Printing
Visions in America offers a wide selection of art papers to choose from. We've recently initiated a process by which the cost
of
the print
is
based on both the size of the image itself and the size of the paper. This
more accurately reflects the actual cost of printing. You can get an estimate
of the cost of your printing here.
For fine art printing, where you want the most archival museum-quality prints,
there is the HP B9180 with inks lasting without fading for over 200 years (on
quality
papers, under glass
and not in direct sunlight). This is the highest rating in the industry for
fine art giclee printing
(tested by
Wilhelm-Research). The HP excels on the fine art and matte type papers. It has a maximum width of 13" with a maximum length of 19" on
some sheet papers and longer for the roll papers. It produces outstanding
image quality and can print on the same wide selection of papers. You can
estimate your printing costs here
but we suggest that you actually come by and take a close look at the test
samples that we have for each paper type. They all print beautiful images
with great color gamut and detail but the texture and sheen varies considerably.
Some
of the more expensive papers are also more finely tuned to the ink and contribute
significantly to the long life of the print.
